Chandru Wadhwani

Chandru is a BSc Business Studies graduate from City University London, UK. He’s currently Extrupet’s Joint Managing Director.
He has been involved in the Textile & Plastics industries for the last 32 years across the African continent. 22 of those years have been spent in South Africa as part of the team responsible for setting up and running of Africa’s leading PET and HDPE bottle recycling company, Extrupet.
As part of the Extrupet Group’s growth strategy into the new decade, there is a significant drive to expand the recycling footprint into other parts of the African continent. A big component of this remains in South Africa with a new food grade rPET line to be added in 2024.
