Sean Leighton is Cargill’s Global Vice President of Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory. With a proven career in the food and beverage industry, Sean has intimate knowledge of the science and standards that make food safe, and the strategies to ensure the quality of supply chains that feed our world. Before joining Cargill in 2017, Sean served as Vice President of Quality Assurance, People Safety, and Environmental Sustainability at The Coca-Cola Company. Sean is the incoming president for the Institute of Food Technologists and sits on the advisory board of many organizations, including, The Center for Food Safety, The Center for Food Integrity and Partnership for Food Safety Education. In these leadership roles, and at Cargill, Sean is leading cutting edge work in food safety and quality to help Cargill nourish the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way, and ensure the global food system is safe and resilient.
