Wendy Knowler’s journalism career began in the 80s, and has had her covering “beats” ranging from politics and courts to motoring, with a stint as foreign correspondent based in London.
For the past 25 years, Wendy Knowler has specialised in consumer journalism, currently writing a weekly column for the Business Times and the digital news platform TimesLive, as well as presenting weekly consumer features on radio stations 702 and Cape Talk.
She tackles issues ranging from dodgy car deals and unfair insurance claim rejections to misleading food labels and “shrinkflation”.
Bruce Whitfield of The Money Show, with whom she chats about financial services-related consumer issues every Wednesday evening on 702 and Cape Talk, has nicknamed her “The Consumer Ninja”.
